Artist Bio

Australian Artist. Oil painter of Oceanscapes and Seascapes and related nature themes. I live in the small coastal town of Barwon Heads,Victoria where my daily walks provide me with endless inspiration.

Situated on the Bellarine Peninsula it is perfect for a painter of seascapes. I immerse myself in the ebb and flow of the tides, capturing the ever-changing moods of the ocean. Each stroke of my brush reveals the vibrant hues of azure and turquoise, the delicate dance of light upon the water’s surface, and the rugged majesty of coastal landscapes. My art seeks to transport viewers to the shore, where the sound of crashing waves and the salty breeze evoke a sense of serenity and wonder. Through my dedication to representing the ocean’s beauty and complexity, I aim to foster a deeper connection between humanity and the marine world, reminding us of our responsibility to cherish and protect these precious waters.

I have been painting for over 40 yrs since first learning from Paul McDonald Smith. I have had exhibitions in Japan, North East Victoria and on the Bellarine at On Shore Art and Mandala Gallery. I took part regularly in the Bright Easter Art Show and won an award there in 2000 whilst also winning the Myrtleford Art Show several years during the 1990’s.

My work was sold through First Settlement Gallery in Sorrento, Cairns Nature Gallery in Osaka and The Tenby Store in Queenscliff. It hangs in homes all over Australia and also overseas.

I stepped away from the professional art scene for a number of years until the end of 2024 when I decided it was time to focus once again on what I love doing. I have spent the time since then creating a new body of work that I am really looking forward to sharing with you.

I am happy to consider commissions.
